Thailand Green Curry was captivating visitors in Tokyo University of Agriculture Harvest Festival. During the festival, Thailand Green Curry’s shop is really popular, they sold a lot of green curry.
Harvest Festival in Tokyo University of Agriculture is an annual event. This year the 121st Harvest Festival Tokyo University of Agriculture was held on Friday 2nd until Sunday 4th November. The festival is well known throughout Japan as one of the biggest university festival. This year the festival attracted more than 100,000 people from outside the university. There is a lot of activities and exhibitions going on in the festival, like distribution of free reddish and some product like honey etc and stall set up by students that sell variety of foods and drinks. Among them is the famous Thailand Green Curry dish.
In my personal opinion, Thailand Green Curry was really delicious, but really spicy, even for me who came from Indonesia, where we use a lot of spice in our food. Little surprised by the fact that this spicy food can also be popular in Japan, remembered that other Japanese food, which mostly only use simple seasoning, and tasted soft or even sometimes bland.
For that reason, we had a survey on this topic, to add a depth of understanding in this topic. Based on the graph, we can see that actually a lot of Japanese people admit to like spicy food. Although there are also small portion of respondents, 19%, didn’t consider spicy food delicious.
